Bengaluru West OTGians pledged for planting 29,310 trees during their monthly meet on Nov 24, 2018

Bengaluru West OTGians are closely knit team of dedicated organic gardeners and nature enthusiasts. They embraced the Billion Trees and Beyond drive with a plantation pledge agenda included in their recent monthly meet on Nov 24, 2018 at Vivekananda Park near Shankara Mutt circle, Basaveshwaranagar. Totally 23 people took the pledge, amounting to 29,310 tress plantation in the years ahead, and this pledge number includes 681 trees these individuals have already planted. This is a very enthusiastic response and reflects the deep affection and commitment these folks have for the nature.  Thank you all! Hope that all the OTG teams in the city will now come forward to conduct the pledge drive as part of their upcoming monthly meets. Look forward to be part of that fun and help out as much possible. It is not just the pledge drive, it is also about plantations. Therefore, every OTGian out there, please document your current and historic plantations and forward

You can pay a green homage to late H N Ananth Kumar through tree plantation pledge right now!

Contributions of late H N Ananth Kumar are many, one of them is the cause of Adamya Chetana, in that too, greening the Bengaluru is just one agenda. One can pay homage to this great soul, especially by doing something good, planting the trees is just one of them, but that is the most apt option for this forum to recommend. Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, his bereaving  beloved wife, to bounce back and fill the void his demise has created, and to pounce ba

Smt. Pushpa Karanth is an active member of Basavanagudi OTG group, and has been working to turn her concrete jungle into a green heaven within her limits and constraints.  She lives right diagonally  opposite to Late Mr. Anath Kumar residence. She and I decided to design a very meaningful homage to the beloved departed leader, who with his beloved wife Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, have done an amazing job through the platform of Adamya Chetana, the green cause of Bengaluru too is one of their major contributions. Therefore, most befitting good bye to the beloved leader, who  also was a neighbour, is to plant trees, in this case these are Mexican Sunflower, within 6 months they will bear hundreds of  beautiful flowers looking skyward, bidding daily farewell to the departed people's leader. We planted 17 plant cuttings together, one of them on the front of her home, and the rest in a triangular piece of small land behind the building. We accounted only 12 plants for the do
